3. FAIR ROSAMOND'S BOWER SOLD OUT Fair Rosamond's Bower is a folly patterned after the style that was popular in England during the 18th and 19th centuries. It represents in a whimsical manner the legend of Fair Rosamond who was historically the mistress of Henry II. Legend has it that Rosamond was housed in a cottage in the castle maze and no one knew the way in until Eleanor, Henry's queen, found the secret to the bowers location and sent in poisoned food. And so ended Rosamonds life. But it didn't happen that way at all. After Rosamond had born 2 sons by Henry he tired of her but she lived to a ripe old age in a nunnery. Students will learn to use Creative Paperclay to make rock, stone, brick and plaster and will learn to distress wood to make it look old. Then make the glowing embers for the fire place and put in the wiring for lights. Exterior light is provided but students will need to bring their own interior lights.
