SOLD OUT Join us for the creation of a bookshelf-depth, two story Living Room / Entry Hall. Designed in the classic French style, the prototype has been developed with a Christmas theme. The Entry Hall features a faux marble floor, the first few steps of a faux marble staircase, and a deep curved recess, which is the perfect spot for a Christmas tree or small seating area. A Juliet balcony above the recessed area opens onto a small second floor reading nook. The Living Room features a hardwood floor, a fireplace, a distressed mirrored wall, and a second story library gallery with bookcases. All of the second story balconies have faux wrought iron railings in the style of Louis XV. During the first two days, students will be instructed in the techniques required to complete all of the architectural aspects of this interior. The third day will be devoted to electrification and finishing. The entire setting will be installed in an unfinished box, allowing each student to customize their own exterior and frame. As with all of our workshops, all materials will be provided to create the room as photographed. Items not included: chandelier, wall sconces, furniture, and accessories. Pre-work and a supply list will be sent approximately one month prior to class. Reservations must be received by MARCH 1, 2010. |
