17.  BUILD A CLOUDWEAVER BROOM

The perfect workshop to use your imagination and pick up several useful polymer clay techniques by creating a Cloudweaver broomstick (the flying kind) complete with optional kickstand, custom seat, saddlebags, etc.  Students can choose from Instructor’s design prototypes and incorporate their own ideas.  We’ll sculpt and detail the broom over a shaped wire armature. Then add real bristles and hardware and add optional components (handlebars, maybe?) to create your one-of-a-kind broomstick.  Everyone should be able to complete more than one broom and the second may look completely different. Participants should bring small sharp scissors and tweezers as well as any components they would like to incorporate into the design.  All other tools and supplies will be provided by the instructor.
