12.  UV RESIN GOBLES - TRANSPARENT GLASS EFFECT

Students will create a set of eight 1/12 scale goblets in several different designs using pre-cast UV resin blanks. The focus of this project is learning versatile techniques for creating a convincing imitation of transparent colored glass. Students will explore several different materials and finishing techniques, compare their properties and results side by side, and discover which approach best suits their own style of work. These methods can also be applied to bottles, vases, perfume bottles, ornaments, lampshades and many other transparent decorative objects. You will choose your own color palette and all pieces will be completed during class and ready to take home. All tools and materials are provided. All skill levels, no experience is required. Extra lighting and magnification are highly recommended.

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated, however, students are welcome to bring their own tools & supplies.
