15.  LEMON THEMED KITCHEN ACCESSORIES

If life gives us lemons… we turn them into lemon themed miniatures (part 1).  Students will learn many polymer clay techniques to create miniature “ceramics” items.  In this workshop: tiles used to decorate the tabletop, trays, jugs and a cake stand will let you learn how to create very personal items to be used in your miniature kitchen. Once you learn these techniques only the sky will be the limit.  The focus is on polymer clay.  Each item has been chosen carefully for this purpose.  Polymer clay basics and advanced information will be given and used: translucent, liquid and normal polymer clay will have no more secrets for you.  Beginners are welcome. Be aware that we will work with very tiny pieces, so steady hands and a magnifier lamp is highly recommended.  NOTE: No food will be done in this workshop so, if you do not attend my “Lemon themed cakes” workshop too, you are welcome to bring your own cakes to complete the table set up.  The third picture shows the composition made by items created in both workshops, items made in this one are highlighted by a red arrow.  The last picture is the result of both workshops.  The wooden table is part of the material so you will complete its decoration by the tiles.  Polymerclay needed to create the “ceramics” is included.  I will have some tools to share however, students are welcome to bring their own.
