15.  PRIVATE WINE CELLAR

This is one room I would love in my house!  A private wine storage and tasting cellar, complete with a separate storage room for cases and an inviting mural that can take you directly to Tuscany.  The roombox will also include a special inlaid floor, made especially for the Chicago show, featuring grapes and leaves.  Students will start by learning how to create an inlaid wood floor.  Then we will faux paint the countertops on the two cabinets that you will make, faux paint the stairs and assemble the wine racks.  All walls, columns and cornices will be wallpapered and placed into position, as well as ceiling beams.  Students will learn how to install indirect lighting, which is included, as well as power supply components.  The inner box will slip into an outer wood box that will be ready to display by the end of the class.  Students are welcome to stain or paint the box when they get home.  Although all tools and supplies will be available, students are encouraged to bring their own tools and cutting mats.
 

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated,

however, students are  welcome to bring their own tools & supplies.
