27.  ART NOUVEAU WARDROBE

This wardrobe is a typical Art Nouveau design.  The Art Nouveau movement is inspired by plant forms and nature.  You can recognize the tree roots at the bottom of the cabinet curling upwards where they end in the stylized tree top.  Students will build the kit and learn how to create a convincing woodgrain on MDF using acrylic paint and medium gel.  You can choose if you want to make the wardrobe with or without mirrored doors.  At the end of the day, you will be the proud owner of this finished 1/12 scale miniature.

 

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated, however, students are welcome to bring

their own tools & supplies.
