40.  MIRROR/MIRROR

In this workshop, students will create two different backlight mirrors; two floor-length rotating cabinet mirrors and a vanity mirror.  The first mirror is one of two unique features of a double-sided rotating standing cabinet. One side of the cabinet features an elegant tall backlight floor-length mirror, while the other side is a shelving unit ideal for showcasing a mini shoe or pocketbook collection. See photo #2. During class, students will learn how to create these unique cabinets by combining a custom engraved mirror component along with the interlocking parts of the cabinet. You will learn how to add lighting behind the mirrors to create this stunning look.   You will then learn to wire an additional vanity mirror (photo 4), which can be incorporated into a bathroom or added above an entry table or incorporated in another unique room setting.  Students will be able to choose either a white or a cream cabinet and vanity mirror. They will be contacted in advance of the class for their choice. You will make two rotating cabinets and one vanity mirror. Accessories seen in the photos are not included.  Students will not be building the background room boxes. They are for display purposes only.  Magnification is highly recommended.
