44.  18th CENTURY FRENCH HARP

Created in a Parisian workshop, this very fine, petit example is typical of the French 18th Century Salon or music room Harp. Each student will start with a cutting list of timber, part shaped frets, hardware and strings. You will assemble, shape and applied/carve the harp before fitting and tensioning each of the strings. A finish will be applied. Completion is likely in class however a detailed booklet is provided to complete the piece at home. All tools and supplies will be provided however please feel free to bring small tools and any optical equipment you may require. A dremel or similar small rotary tool will be beneficial. ( with standard collets or chuck). Approximate size in 1/12th scale 5 3/8" high x 3" wide x 1 1/2" deep.  Breaks can be taken as needed.

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated,

however, students are welcome to bring their own tools & supplies.
