Discover the fun art of Needlepoint in Miniature in this interactive class designed for fine-scale needlework enthusiasts. This workshop will guide you through the key differences between Needlepoint and Petit Point in miniature, and direct you how to work with silk gauze - the essential fabric for true-to-scale miniature needlework.  You’ll gain a solid understanding of: the properties of silk gauze and how to handle it, the best frames, threads, and needles for miniature work, how stitches choice affects the final look on gauze, pros, cons, and practical tips.  Through hands-on practice, students will work on a miniature Christmas stocking, learning both needlepoint and petit point stitches.  By the end of the class, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to create finely detailed miniature that elevates any dollhouse, room box, or display. All materials and supplies are provided except the picture frame.  Bring your miniature picture frame, curiosity and creativity!  Students are advised to bring their favorite sharp scissors, additional light, and a magnifier, if needed.

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated, however, students are welcome to bring their own tools & supplies.
