9.  MAKING IT FIT

This class will be about making it fit.  In the real world everyone is built different as are 1:12 scale dolls.  You will learn to design and make a dress to fit a mannequin using simple shapes .  There will be a  selection of silk, stripes, patterns and cottons, to choose from.  This will be a class of techniques, hints and using simple directions  to make faux small, rolled hems and French seams on a 5 gore skirt, Then learn the tricks and ideas to make an outfit created from your work.   No sewing, so great for beginners and pros alike.  Please bring sharp fabric scissors.  If you have a straightening iron (yes, for you hair) you may bring that also.  If you don't have one they will be provided but you will have to share.

All supplies are provided by the instructor except as indicated, however, students are welcome to bring their

own tools & supplies.
