10.  ONE CLASS, TWICE THE CHOICE

This year we will be making a super roombox with a difference. You can finish this as either an authentic cottage (based on rooms in Anne Hathaway’s house at Stratford-upon-Avon) or a genuine castle scene (based on rooms at Hever Castle, Kent, England).

There is a world of choice for how you can bring your cottage vision to life. It might be a pub, a peasant’s hovel, a witch’s cottage, OR, if you follow the castle route;  a Lord and Lady’s chamber, a banqueting hall or a dragon’s lair (just don’t get your fingers burnt!).As ever, we will be teaching several new techniques which you will apply to this class but are easily transferable to other miniature projects. The internal wall structure for both options is identical but you will learn how, with a bit of imagination, lateral thinking and using different finishing techniques you can totally change the look of the project.You will receive 2 free lights with the class, one wall sconce and a fluorette but there will be others for sale at the show. The structure is designed to be ‘travel friendly’ measuring 15” x 22” x 9.5” it will fit into a standard, airline approved suitcase. A removable stand will add approximately 2” to the height if assembled.  Also available in 1/24 scale, measuring 7.5” x 11” x 4.75”  Please indicate on the registration form which size you prefer.
