26.  TEA CADDY

Geoff Wonnacott       Wednesday evening 6:30p-10:30p           $65

 

A hexagonal tea caddy made in walnut with typical single wooden shell marquetry on the front .It has an inner lid to contain the precious tea.

 From a prepared cutting list of timber and veneer you will assemble the caddy, inlay the shell, burr veneer the lid before fitting the hinge and the hardware.  Completion is likely in class however a detailed booklet is provided to complete the piece at home if necessary.  All tools and supplies will be provided however please feel free to bring your own small tools and any optical equipment you may require.  Approximate size in 1/12th scale 1/2" Wide 5/8" High and 1/2" Deep

ALL SUPPLIES ARE PROVIDED BY THE INSTRUCTORS EXCEPT AS INDICATED, 

HOWEVER, STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO BRING THEIR OWN TOOLS & SUPPLIES.
