
29. FRENCH DEMI-LUNE CHEST

Made in typical Louis XVI style, this small elegant relative of the larger demi-lune console cabinet will fit comfortably in most rooms or hallways. From a prepared cutting list of timber and veneer the chest will be constructed. The legs will be shaped, the curved drawers will be made, veneered and banded. Once the chest is curved to shape and assembled the finish will be applied before fitting the decorative hardware.
A real marble top will be shaped and a brass gallery fitted.
Approximate size in 1/12th scale 2 1/4" Wide 2 5/8" High and 1 1/4" Deep.
Completion is likely in class however a detailed booklet is provided to complete the piece at home if necessary.
All tools and supplies will be provided however please feel free to bring your own small tools and any optical equipment you may require. An apron is advisable for the marble dust.
