3.  RUSSIAN GAZEBO

Frank Crescente            Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8a-8p         $1090

Home to nearly one quarter of the world’s forests, Russia has a uniquely long, inextricably close and immeasurably important relationship with the wood of its vast forested Eurasian plain. In the heart of Sumy, a Russian city, stands an amazingly beautiful wooden Gazebo built in the Russian wooden architectural style and refers to the direction of the Most Rare style of architecture in the city.

This miniature reproduction is reproduced from original drawings and measurements in 1/12th scale. Its amazing decorative laser cut fretwork surrounds the structure and gives this gazebo its beautiful amazing charm. One advantage is that the gazebo is built on a raised (resin) foundation of stone with steps rising to the floor level. This gives the real gazebo a better overview of the city. All shown in photo is included, including glue and the bench on the ground floor; however, plants shown are not included.  Scale 1/12th.

Students will develop skills in using and making resin parts, wood staining, frame construction, painting, weathering, and use of landscaping materials.  A portable light is highly recommended.

ALL SUPPLIES ARE PROVIDED BY THE INSTRUCTORS EXCEPT AS INDICATED,

HOWEVER, STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO BRING THEIR OWN TOOLS & SUPPLIES.
