#3. 109 BELLEVUE PLACE -
A ¼" SCALE CHICAGO HOME
Debbie Young Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 9 am - 5 pm $345
Located just steps from Michigan Avenue on one of Chicago’s most distinguished streets, 109 Bellevue Place is where architectural heritage meets contemporary urban living. This elegant limestone residence is brick colored with black trim and is distinctly masculine with a little steampunk. Students will construct a four-story, 1/4 scale model of this Chicago landmark, faithfully replicating the real house. The project includes installing wood floors, applying wallpaper, assembling and fitting windows, electrifying, roofing, and meticulously decorating the exterior to capture the authentic character of the original property. Through comprehensive research, accurate scaling, and dedicated attention to detail, participants will learn how actual residences are transformed into detailed miniatures. The finished house measures 4 ½" wide, 6 ½" deep and 11" tall.
